The property is ideally situated in a beautiful area close to the pretty fishing village of Gumusluk, on the western tip of the Bodrum peninsula. It has fantastic views out to sea and the greek island of Kos and, being west facing, the sunsets are spectacular. The village of Gumusluk, with its small beach and renowned seafood restaurants is easily accessible, within 15 minutes walking distance or 2 minutes by car.
Gumusluk is a protected area, being built on the site of the ancient city of Myndos. The ruins and mosaics are still visible in the shallow waters around Rabbit Island which can be reached on foot from Gumusluk harbour. The bay is ideal for snorkelling and there are watersports facilities available from the beach. There is plenty to explore on the peninsula and beyond. Other villages on the peninsula, such as Turgutreis and Yalikavak with their weekly markets are easily accessible via Dolmus or car. Bodrum, with its imposing castle and harbour is a 25 minute drive away and has all the facilities of a larger holiday resort. Further afield, the ancient ruins of Ephesus are well worth a visit.
The villa itself has a beautifully designed interior with the highest quality furnishings and fittings. The lovely swimming pool is surrounded by landscaped gardens and lawned areas which benefit from both sun and shade throughout the day. As well as a private pool, the villa also has access to 2 large communal swimming pools and landscaped gardens. The site even has its own ampthitheatre!
Living and dining
The bright and airy living area is air-conditioned and furnished in a contemporary style with large comfortable sofas. A television with satellite channels, dvd player and stereo with cd/radio/casette are provided should you chose to relax indoors. The dining area includes a dining table plus seating for 4, although guests are more likely to dine outside on the pool-side terrace.
Bedrooms
Upstairs there is one double master bedroom with furnished balcony and sea views. There is a further double bedroom also with sea views and a twin bedroom downstairs. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and furnished with fitted wardrobes in each.
Bathrooms
There are two fully fitted family bathrooms, one upstairs with bath and shower and one downstairs with shower.
Kitchen and laundry
There is a well equipped fitted kitchen and separate utility room. Facilities include fridge freezer, dishwasher, full oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine, clothes drier, iron and ironing board.
Outside
There is a fully furnished terrace adjoining the living area with table, umbrella and seating for six, ideal for alfresco dining. The terrace overlooks the pool which is surrounded by gardens and has sunbeds for relaxing in the sun. There is a large furnished balcony upstairs, which is accessible from the main bedroom and furnished with coffee table, sofa and armchairs. Parking is provided adjacent to the property.
Additional facilities
A welcome pack is provided, ideal for those late arrivals. Transfers can be arranged to and from the airport, costing approximately £35 each way.
Cleaning arrangements
The property pool and gardens are cared for by the managing agents and they are easily contactable should you encounter any problems during your stay. The property will be cleaned for your arrival and bed linen and towels are provided. Additional linen changes can be arranged for a small extra charge. Please bring your own pool / beach towels.
